The Raspberry Pi 5, which has been in the market for over two and a half years, is finally getting closer to having full support in the mainline Linux kernel.
One of the key components that has been missing is the IOMMU driver, which is essential for memory management and device isolation.
Currently, efforts are being made to adapt the existing downstream IOMMU driver for integration into the mainline kernel, marking a significant step forward for Raspberry Pi users.
